Owned and managed by Dr Mike Peterkin, Pierro is widely considered one of Australia’s leading Chardonnay makers, with their red wines now among the very best in the region – their ‘LTCF’ stands for ‘little touch of cabernet franc’.

This 2018 Pierro LTCF is a classic ‘Bordeaux blend’ of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, delivering a Margaret River red wine of impeccable quality, with rich, concentrated varietal flavours and high quality fine-grained tannins.

“96 Points. Blend of 59.6/27.8/8/2.6/2% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/cabernet franc/petit verdot/ malbec. Matured in French oak for 12 months (10% new). All things on paper here speak of restraint: the responsibly weighted glass, low percentage of new oak, time in oak, a balance of varieties … and in the mouth all is confirmed. This is elegant and layered flavour in every part of the mouth. It creeps up on you, and lingers long after it has gone.
